Just what the world really needs--another blog! ;-)

Well, folks, here I am, eyes glazing after being online for over 6 hours, going thru first one website and then another, trying to find out what 'blogs' and 'wikis' are as part of my efforts to learn how to incorporate CALL in my EFL classes! ("Blogs" and "wikis"! Sounds like something out of a Dr. Seuss book to me:)

"And they're hanging their stockings!" Wiki snarled with a sneer.
Tomorrow is Christmas! It's practically here!"
Then he growled, with his Wiki fingers nervously drumming,
"I MUST find some way to stop Christmas from coming!"
For,
Tomorrow, he knew ...
All the Blog girls and boys
Would wake bright and early. They would rush for their toys!
And then! Oh, the noise! Oh, the Noise! Noise! Noise! Noise! ;-)

(Sorry for the interruption! I had to blow off a little steam, I guess!) And although I've decided to trust all the experts out there saying that they are really great and "the thing to do," I have to admit that I sometimes feel like I'm going blindly thru one set of instructions after another, signing up at location after location, and entering places I've never been to before and still not knowing what I'm doing there and what's expected of me. Is it just me being stupid? Please say no!

Hi Susana

Hi from one of the moderators in Barcelona, Spain!

I know it must feel that we're pushing you around from one place to another, and I guess it might seem that we're complicating things at first, but please bear with us, and sign up for all the tools we've suggested, and you'll come to see how useful they are as the course develops.

At least I hope this is the case!

:)

Hi Susan,
This is Jati from Indonesia (see the map to find me). I agree with you, so far sound so overwhelming in the discussion but then will be useful later. I, myself, is still new to this kind of activity but then I learn a lot.
Keep it up.

I often feel like that, Susan, though I've learned to ignore the feeling by now! ;-)
Let's keep learning together!
